Statistické vyhodnocení zatížení křižovatek v Olomouci

Summary

Aim of this thesis was statistical evaluation of load of selected crossroads in Olomouc in between years 2008 and 2011. This evaluation is focused on mutual relationships between particular directions of crossroads using their characteristics of traffic - morning and afternoon rush hours and decomposition of traffic within days and weeks.

Theoretical part deals with use of statistical methods and problem of getting transport data, its processing and evaluation. The phenomenon of evaluation rush hours and intensity of transport is described more detailed.

Base of practical part is about describing location of every crossroad and their connected roads in the context of whole city and its zonal parts. Important is also classification of communications and their connection to another road. Next part described used data, problems and method of evaluation before it enters the analysis. Main, most important part, is processing of analysis, their evaluation and description of results. It is focused on particular methods and results.

Main issue is solved by correlations, which is one of statistical methods, suitable for researching of dependence. Generally, it indicates level of dependence of two variables, or random variable. Results of correlations are indicators of relationship between crossroad or their particular directions. Inputs for the calculations are variations of traffic intensity, which are basic indicator of traffic character. Detailed decomposition of traffic is represented by fifteen minute and daily variation of transport intensity. It show dispersion of traffic in particular directions of every crossroad and their morning and afternoon rush hours between 6 and 18 hour of working day. It is possible to get information about, in which part of day is selected direction busiest and conversely. Complex transport situation of all working days is represented by week variation of transport intensity. It's a quotient of daily traffic intensity in every day and week average of daily traffic intensity. So it shows, which day of week had the highest values of traffic, and conversely.

The traffic of individual directions at more busy roads is changing about hundreds of vehicles and about ten sof vehicles at the less busy roads. Thanks of the estimation results of the Antal average daily intesity was find out that the most busy roads are „Drápal“, „Envolopa“ and „náměstí Hrdinů“. Her is the frequency about 20 thousands of vehicles. The road tř. Svobody and the road 17. Listopadu are the most busy of these. Roads are the most busy on Friday. On the other hand roads are the less busy on Tuesday of the viewpoint of the weekly traffic. The daily process of the traffic is the most steady at the crossroad „Drápal“. The biggest detected deflection is at the crossroad „náměstí Hrdinů“. In the afternoon is the average rush hour about 15 – 16 o´clock. There are the differences between rush hour because of individual crossroads and the watching year in the morning. The strongest corellation relations over 0,7 are valid at the semence of the direction tř. kosmonautů straight-right („Envelopa“) – tř. Svobody straight-right („Drápal“) – tř. Svobody straight-right („náměstí Hrdinů“) and in the opposite direction of the traffic Legionářská left-straight („náměstí Hrdinů“) – tř. Svobody left-straight and right („Drápal“) which are formming the main communications of crossroads. Other directions are connected to these seqentions where is the correlation coefficient lower. Generaly the strongest correlation relations are between corssroads „náměstí Hrdinů“, „Drápal“ and „Envelopa“. Lower realtion is about „Žižkovo náměstí“ in these crossroads. There are crossroads and the crossroad „Anča“ where aren´t relations so high.

Results of this thesis could be used as a base for solution of transport issues, e.g. calculation of road capacity or signal plans. It can be used also in urban planning, where the conception of development of communication network is solved, or distribution of money for road repairs and reconstruction, or monitoring of traffic influence to environment.
