SUMMARY

Key words: stereoscopy, photogrammetry, stereomodel, geomorphology, geology

Motivation for the work (problems addressed): Focused at stereoscopy and photogrammetry. To present the problematics of stereo viewing and image application. To describe various possibillities of using stereopairs in geomorphology and geology. To get into an unknown software.

The thesis Stereopair Application in Geomorphology and Geology was solved in Faculty of Natural Science of Palacký University in Olomouc.

Theoretical part of study was aimed at principles of stereoscopic viewing. There were described its technical parameters and substitutial apparates. Image processing and photogrammetric rules were explained. There were mentioned various photogrammetric methods and digital processing opportunities were emphasized.

Digital terrain model (DTM) and orthophoto creation were explained minutely. That is why these methods are the most important in stereopair processing. Several examples were presented and their acquisition in geomorphology and geology were discussed. There were also specified main stereomodel analyses such as elevation measurements, DTM progress or terrain elements studies etc.

Practical part of work has introduced ERDAS IMAGINE software. Aerial images of open pit Doly Nástup Tušimice were obtained for this work. Author went through the whole process of Image orientation, DTM creation and orthorectification and mozaic composition. Several anaglyphs of open pit were created. Then some of important analyses were mentioned. Mining activity monitoring, volume calculations, data for mining companies information systems, decision making and planning are some of the most important fields, where photogrammetry can be used in open pit. 3D terrain features vectorization was shown and Stereo Analyst feature project was made out.

Finally there was created a poster that represents results of this study.
