Smart land and green cities: New skills for university graduates (SmartGreenHE)
Objectives: The project will modernise higher‑education teaching in geospatial and environmental fields by equipping students with practical digital and green competences. We aim to deliver job‑relevant learning outcomes, tested assignments and fair assessment methods, strengthened by continuous employer input, and to ensure long‑term adoption of the modules in partner study programmes. Materials will be designed for accessibility and reuse, enabling wider European uptake beyond the consortium.
Implementation: Partners will map skills needs and good teaching practices, agree a common module template, and co‑develop six university modules plus three short upskilling units. UACEG will curate a public results hub for open materials, and dataset notes. UACEG, UPOL and ULisboa will run living‑lab pilots with student teams on real cases, followed by one evidence‑based revision cycle and a final dissemination event. Two transnational partner meetings will secure coordination and quality decisions.
Results: Expected results include six complete module packages (syllabi, labs, assignments and grading criteria), three micro‑learning units, and an open collection of learning materials and documented teaching datasets. Pilots will generate reusable case packs, evidence of learning and improved final versions. Partner universities will confirm embedding plans, while employers gain a structured channel for future cases and mentoring. Other HEIs can reuse the resources via the public hub.
