The aim of this thesis is to conduct user evaluation of different types of dashboards dedicated to
COVID-19 with an emphasis on spatial information.
In the theoretical part of the thesis, dashboards are
described from different perspectives: historical and technological. In the practical part,
usability testing is conducted on existing dashboards which will help identify problematic user
interaction aspects. This formative study is enhanced by omparing two
(self-developed) dashboards with different appearances.
A combination of objective (eye-tracking) and subjective
(questionnaire and
interview) methods are used for the evaluation. The thesis results might help reveal how the users
interact with the dashboards, whether they are able to use their functionalities, or not, and if the
displayed information is correctly transferred.
The aim of the diploma thesis is to perform user evaluation on COVID-19 dashboards.
