The name of this work is "Creation of Geoinformatic applications on the Department of Geoinformatics website”. The main objective of the work is the creation of the geoinformatic programs which will be placed on the KGI website to increase its functionality and attractivity.
Web applications for the conversion of the files of different vector formats, transformation between coordinate systems used in Czech Republic and for the computation of the basic statistic values in data file were created as a part of this work. Scripts for the online monitoring (automatic download of the data from the web and from the air temperature sensor, creating of outputs and their presentation) were created too.
The last task that is solved in this work is the proposal of a solution for the automatic creation of the presentation of the images on the info board. Scripts for the automatic creation of the actual news taken from the news websites were created too. This news is displayed on info board too, according to the given plan.
Process of this work can be divided into several steps: searching for existing applications, consulting of the technical solutions for each application on the specialized forums and Internet conferences, studying of all necessary programs to reach the level necessary for programming this applications, testing the applications and their placing on the KGI server. Text of this Bachelor's Thesis was written then and all scripts were well-arranged, commented and saved on CD, which is an additional part of this work.
This work hasn't got only a practical use, it can be used like a source of information and guide for the creation of similar applications too.
