This Bachelor’s Thesis refers to The Cartographic visualisation of FADN statistical data and was made at the Department of Geoinformatics, Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc. The FADN research contains data, which are gotten from agriculture companies. These companies establish network for representation of the EU member countries.
The meaning of attribute data was discussed with employees of The Agriculture Economic Research Institute (VÚZE) at the beginning of the Cartographic visualisation of FADN. Their remarks and recommendations assist with better understanding of the FADN question.
Main object of the Bachelor’s Thesis is cartographic visualisation, it means that work propose methodology and process to join FADN thematic data with spatial information. Database FADN Czech Republic allows different aggregations of the data, some of these aggregations can have spatial information. The work describes how they can be created in GIS program and compiled for connection with thematic data. Next step studies number and density of companies inside these polygons.
A part of the Thesis is also comparison to another data source of the Czech Republic. The maps and the text compare FADN CZ database with data about villages of The Czech Statistical Bureau (ČSÚ). The result of the comparison is a fact, that both of these data sets are different, so the maps usage must be adapted to this.
There is a CD-ROM attached to the Bachelor’s Thesis containing all digital data, polygon layers, scripts, meta-information file and programs. The base information about this work is presented on the web pages, which contain introduction, conclusion, discussion and other parts of the work.
