This diploma thesis The influence of potencional urban area in CHKO Beskydy on landscape type and insfrastructure deals with problem of growing urban sprawl and its influence on environment and infrastructure (roads ands waste).

The main question is: how will landscape look, when we will built everywhere, where it is possible.

In the first part of diploma thesis it is theoretically solved problem of urban sprawl and acquire data. It consists collecting, scaning, digitizing municipality plans and data from WMS services.

In other part it was delimited conflicts areas, carried out analysis and calculation. At last results of all three areas were summarized. In this part ESRI products were used. Result of this part is dataset of 62 layers in *.shp format, which enter into second part of diploma thesis.

For ever conflict analysis was created map (29 outputs of map), which are part of diploma thesis.

Results of analysis enter into Oracle database and they are visualized in the product Sitewell Eira® GI in www environment.

All of results are part of appendix CD. For purpose of the diploma thesis licensed software products ESRI ArcGIS 10 was used.

A website about this thesis and placed on the server of Department of Geoinformatics UP. Also the CD was created with all outputs and with all used data. Diploma thesis is used for needs AOPK Beskydy and Sitewell, s.r.o. company.
