SUMMARY
The main aim of this batchelor thesis is the use local cluster analysis methods or monitoring the occurrence of statistically significant clusters of selected functional areas within the city of Olomouc and also in the framework of the olomouc region. Cluster analysis then applied to the distribution of functional areas at different times in 1930, 1955, 1985, 1999 and 2010. An important result of the work is not only the visualization of analysis in the form of maps, but also a commentary describing the changes in the location of functional areas in the time.
We can divided work outputs to four categories:
- digitizing of functional areas of the olomouc region
- visualization of cluster analysis in the form of the maps
- comentary describing the changes in the location of functional areas in the time
- text part of the work
For cluster analysis were selected four types of functional areas. Functional areas of inhabitation, public facilities, industry areas and green vegetation areas. Nine kind of maps was created in format A3. Due to unavailability of data the cluster analysis for the entire olomouc region was drawn only in 2010. In other years, map was created only inside of the cadastral territory of Olomouc.
Because the this type of cluster analysis is very dependent on the size of analyzed region. In this case the special maps of cluster analysis for every kind of functionl areas in the cadastral territory of Olomouc in 1930 was created. These are used mainly for a better comparison of clustering of functional areas over time.
These analysis are should primarily used by city planners and other geographers which are engage in urbanization and spacial sturcture of the Olomouc and olomouc region.
