Summary

In the thesis, the possibilities of data uncertainty visualization were explored. Of these, the following were considered with respect to the target group (participants in the monitoring of the success of wintering bee colonies) seven options were selected. Namely: Cartodiagram (Geom), choropleth with two-colour combined scale (Bivar), map with the possibility of filtering by representativeness (Slider), a map with representativeness information in a popup (JenLoss), a map with a raster layer showing representativeness that can be changed transparency (Trans), a comparative map showing four vintages in separate maps (Jux4), and a comparison map showing two vintages and their representations in separate maps (Jux2).

For these seven variants, web maps were created using the MapLibre GL javascript library. were tested using an eye-tracking experiment. Based on the findings of the experiment, a two possible optimised final solutions.
