Dean’s Award Competition 2025

On Monday, May 5, the traditional Dean’s Award Competition took place once again, giving students of the Faculty of Science, Palacký University Olomouc the opportunity to present the results of their scientific work. Students competed in six thematic sections across three categories (BSc, MSc, PhD), along with an additional poster section. The event is supported annually by the faculty leadership and private companies.

This year’s edition brought great success to our students:

• Gernot Nikolaus (CDE Joint Master) won the Master’s Earth Sciences section and became the overall winner of the section. He also placed in the poster session.  Josef Myška placed third
• Štěpán Čech won the Bachelor’s section, while Vojtěch Svoboda placed third.
• In the PhD category, Jakub Žejdlík took second place, and  Oldřich Rypl came third.
