assoc. prof. Burian receives the City of Olomouc Award

A great achievement for Assoc. Prof. Burian!

 

We are delighted to share that Assoc. Prof. Jaroslav Burian has received the City of Olomouc Award in the category of Science and Research.

He was honoured for his long-term contribution to geoinformatics, science, and applied research. Assoc. Prof. Burian is one of the leading Czech experts in the field and the author or co-author of more than 80 scientific publications. Equally significant is his long-standing cooperation with the City of Olomouc, particularly in the implementation of GIS tools and spatial analyses in strategic and urban planning.

 

During the award ceremony, he also shared his vision for the future:

“My dream is to create a digital twin of Olomouc.”
