EUDIS Defence Hackathon

At the Prague Innovation Institute, in cooperation with the EU Defence Innovation Scheme, we are organizing the EUDIS Defence Hackathon from October 17–19, 2025. This isn’t just a technological challenge—the goal is to connect the civil and defense sectors and jointly seek innovative solutions that will help increase our security in the space and aerospace fields, not only here in the Czech Republic but throughout Europe. This year, the hackathon is also a part of Czech Space Week.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN GAIN

 

  • The best teams can look forward to an attractive financial prize with a minimum total value of 3,000 EUR, plus prizes tailored to their projects.

  • The winning projects will receive expert support and acceleration.

  • They will advance to the European finals, where they will present their project, solution, or idea to stakeholders from EU member states.

 

WHAT AWAITS THEM

    • Challenge 1: Protection of space assets – detect, analyze, and counter threats in space

    • Challenge 2: Space for defense – Earth Observation, Navigation, Communication, and coordination of multi-domain military operations

    • Challenge 3: Sovereign Aerospace – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Management, Production, and Countermeasures

  • A weekend full of networking with experts from the civil and defense sectors.
